The vacancy

As a Strategy Consulting Sales Manager you will be responsible for selling consulting engagements and oversee the delivery of the projects. Your objective is to grow the service strategy consulting business line by identifying new market opportunities, developing new service propositions, and launching them on the market.

The necessary knowledge to sell and oversee the delivery of our type project requires the following: 

  • Analysing customer needs, customer value chains, products and applications, market trends, the competitive environment and existing data driven services & (IoT) capabilities.  
  • Identifying, designing, piloting and launching new service propositions ranging from improving product related services to completely new, outcome based, business models.  
  • Aligning senior management teams on a shared vision for the future and a common understanding of the business implications. 
  • Developing a roadmap supported by value justification for the short-; and long-term.  
  • Developing sales & marketing models and go-to-market strategies.  
  • Developing strategies to design and improve the Branded Customer Experience. 
  • During the multi-year transformation projects you will be advising and assisting our clients to manage their service transformation programmes.    

Qualifications

  • You believe in the service business being a pathway for profitable growth, personal development and prosperity 
  • You have experience in working an international environment and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a management consulting firm with relevant experience in the service business. 
  • You can independently manage customer expectations and sell, manage and deliver consulting projects (e.g. conduct and manage assessments, facilitate strategy workshops, deliver management training) to the clients’ satisfaction.  
  • You are entrepreneurial and creative, and like to take responsibility to grow your own area of the business by identifying new customer needs, developing new service propositions and coming up with innovative ways to launch new propositions in the market.  
  • You are a conceptual thinker with an eye for detail. You are eager to learn and by always asking ‘’why?’’ you continuously look for innovative ways to improve the business.  
  • You can be strong headed, and a real go-getter when needed.  
  • You can lead and inspire others and are able to manage a team of consultants and client staff and you take pleasure in coaching and developing others   
  • You are a thought leader in your field of service business strategy and you regularly publish in industry leading publications 
  • You are a team player that places the team’s objectives above your own and take the initiative to get things done. You take the time to make positive work relationships with other team members a priority and display a genuine passion and commitment towards the team 
  • You have an advanced degree e.g. a Master’s degree in a relevant field. 
  • You are flexible in terms of working hours and traveling.  
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written English. Other major languages are an advantage. 
  • You live in The Netherlands or are willing to re-locate for a period of at least one year and you have a valid working permit and driving license.
