Senior Associate Consultant specialised in Service Business

The Associate Consultant is the most experienced professional that works in Noventum consulting projects or /and acts as a coach to clients using the Digital Service Transformation Centre. All Senior Consultants in Noventum can evaluate and analyse the service business as generalist. Some senior consultants also have a specialisation in one of the service business disciplines. He or she must be able to identify the improvement opportunities, offer recommendations and assist in implementing the proposed solutions for the client organization. He or she must participate in meetings with clients where strategic decisions are taken and where service transformation programmes are managed.  


We are looking for senior consultants that have at least 10 years of experience as Service Directors, Service Vice president, Service Manager, Spare Parts Manager and have experience in these areas: 

  • Service Transformation Management: This covers assessing the current service business, defining the reasons for change, create a vision and strategic roadmap and continuously manage the service transformation. 

  • Service Business Management: This covers forecasting & planning of the service business, the financial goal setting, budgeting, performance reporting, risk management, the management of service operations, service partners, and managing of continuous innovations.    Service Lifecycle Management: Customer Research, New Service Design, Pricing, Service design 

  • Service Lifecycle Management: This covers understanding customer service needs, identification and design of new services, and manage the life cycle of the portfolio of services from design, piloting, global deployment, marketing development, pricing up to the end of life of the services. 

  • Brand experience Management: This covers how customers experience the service sales and delivery and how they perceive the value of your brand. It involves the design, measurement and management of the customer experience. 

  • Marketing and Sales: This covers the identification of prospects, qualified sales leads, manage sales, monitor the progress of the contracts, management of strategic accounts, manage the performance of Service Level Agreements, and managing customer success. 

  • Delivery Model: This covers all modes of service delivery: Support Centre's, Field Services, Remote Services, Professional Services and Self services and Parts Management as well as back-office operations 

  • People Management: This covers the design, forecasting and planning of the competency requirements,  the design and management of learning  and development, and people engagement management through career paths and personal development 

  • Knowledge Management: This covers capturing and making all required knowledge available as well as managing the organization learning methods, systems and culture 

  • Technology Management: This covers IT Solutions requirements identification to design, selection, implementation and maintenance of the IT solution architecture 


Additional areas are an advantage: 

  • Program manager experience and project management experience  

  • Training a coaching experience 


 Main duties and responsibilities: 

  • As associate consultant you are responsible to lead or act as subject matter expert in a consulting project together with other Noventum consultants and client teams. Using Noventum methodologies, best practices and benchmark systems, you will be assessing the actual situations to address client business challenges, interviewing, and reviewing and summarizing (benchmark) information received from the client to analyse and draw conclusions. You will develop recommendations, present the findings and work with the client towards a common understanding and acceptance amongst all stakeholders. 

  • In the role of a subject matter expert you will research in your area(s) of expertise, produce thought leadership publications, document best practices in the Digital Service Transformation Centre, and contribute to project work directly as well as act as a coach to provide advice to colleague consultants or/and client team members 

  • As a senior consultant you demonstrate the ability to work with young talents by encouraging them to provide their opinions and new ideas, provide constructive feedback and incorporating their opinions and new ideas in the project deliverables as appropriate. 


Candidate Profile: 

  • At least ten years of experience as Service Directors, Service Vice president, Service Manager, Spare Parts Manager in the areas as described above 

  • Proven ability to act in the role of management consultant providing advice to clients on their business challenges with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations, created the case for change, develop the vision and strategic roadmap supported by all stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to be able to lead a service transformation including the detailed design of the operating model, management of the building and implementation of the target operating model using agile methods, capture the results and support and sustain the change. 

  • The ability to make effective management reports and persuasive presentations   

  • Willingness to adopt to the firms approach to the business and represent the firm in a professional manner 

  • Able to work with office automation, analytical and presentation tools such as MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint   

  • Strongly developed communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to work in international teams, demonstrating initiative, creativity, adaptability, strong leadership skills, maturity, professionalism, and integrity.     

  • A perfect command of English, both in writing as verbally is a must 

  • Additional languages are a plus 

  • The willingness to travel
